CakePHP Local Food Market
For my Database Engineering Course at DHBW Heidenheim, I had to develop a web application powered by a relational database. My team settled on the idea of creating a directory where farmers can present their products. We wanted to enable buyers to reserve smaller quantities for a certain day and location through the website. Our CakePHP application has a full fledged shopping cart system, interfaces the Google Maps API and runs of a Amazon EC2 instance. Ready to give it a try?
Are you interested in some geeky stuff? Below you can find a screenshot of the database model that powers our application. Technology wise, this project has been realized using CakePHP, MySQL, SAP PowerDesigner and various other smaller nifty tools.
